What's in the Name?

A lot. Consider this: "Oommen"

Think (and carefully re-read the spelling) about this word I just typed above. Whoever came up with this name for the first time in human history was most definitely out of his mind or drunk or wasn't serious about it. But evidently someone was and went ahead with it. And whoever followed it up and continued with it was not only out of his mind but thought it would be fun to see how long it lasted.

I have always wondered what went through my grandpa's mind when he named Dad "Oommen". I love grandpa a lot so I am going to keep it at that. What's equally weird is that mallus for some reason find it profound thinking to give the son, in inheritance, as surname, his Dad's name. What joy, no? (else I would've been Binoy Abraham)

Maybe, just maybe I won't let that guy have so much fun.
